Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I confirm that I have reviewed and accept the Article Processing Charge (APC) applicable to this journal and understand that fees apply upon acceptance and in cases of withdrawal, as stated in the author guidelines.
  • I confirm that I have carefully read, understood, and complied with the author guidelines provided in the Paper Template, including all stylistic and bibliographic requirements.
  • I confirm that all references include a DOI or a stable URL where available.
  • I confirm that the manuscript does not include the names of authors or collaborators, in accordance with the double-blind review process, and that I have followed the instructions outlined in Ensuring a Blind Review.
  • I confirm that, as the corresponding author, I am obligated to enter the complete and accurate details of all authors (names, e-mails, affiliations, countries, and scientific interests) during Step 3 of the submission process. I understand that submission metadata cannot be edited after submission and that failure to comply may result in immediate rejection of the submission.
  • I confirm that the submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • I confirm that the manuscript text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • My coauthors and myself will confirm the authorship of the manuscript by signing the Authorship Statement (pdf) which I will upload during Step 2 of the Submission process. The statement can be downloaded and signed digitally.

Author Guidelines

The submission of a paper is considered as author's guarantee that the paper had not been published before and that its publishing does not violate the copyright laws. Any paper that had been presented at a symposium or a conference and published in full in the Proceedings in printed or electronic form are regarded as published papers. The author(s) must indicate if their paper has been posted on a "working paper" website other than their own. On acceptance, the text, or any link to full text, must be removed from the "working paper" website other than the author's own website.

The papers shall be accepted for publishing only after the author has modified the paper in compliance with the reviewers' and editorial's remarks. The author shall be responsible for all the data presented in the published paper.

The paper shall be submitted at https://traffic2.fpz.hr/index.php/PROMTT/login. The paper shall be uploaded in English, leaving out the data about the author(s). All author information (metadata) should be entered during paper submission. If another author becomes involved while the paper review process is ongoing, the original authors can acknowledge him or her in the appropriate section of the paper (Acknowledgements).

The publishing fee is EUR 1200 plus VAT 25%, totalling EUR 1500. If the payer is a company or institution then the invoice will be issued to the amount of EUR 1200 (taxable legal entities are subject to a reverse-charge). All Croatian based payers must cover the VAT cost.

To ensure fairness and consistency, the journal applies the same publication fee to all authors. At this time, we are unable to offer discounts or waivers.

A withdrawal fee of EUR 500 will be charged to authors who choose to withdraw their manuscript after the review process has started. This fee covers the costs incurred during the review and editing process.

A penalty fee of EUR 500 will be imposed if it is determined that the authors have committed an ethical breach, including but not limited to fabrication and falsification of data, duplicate submissions to another journal, conflicts of interest, improper authorship, or ghostwriting. Authors who wish to appeal these decisions may request a review by our appeals committee, which will thoroughly evaluate the case to ensure fairness and accuracy.

Preparation of the paper

Paper template (dotx)
Authorship statement (pdf)

Please download and read the template document carefully. Submitted manuscripts which are not in accordance with the instructions listed in the template will be rejected.

Authorship Criteria

All persons who meet authorship criteria are listed as authors, and all authors guarantee that they have participated sufficiently in the work to take public responsibility for the content, including participation in the concept, design, analysis, writing or revision of the manuscript. Furthermore, each author warrants that this material or similar material has not been and will not be submitted to or published in any other publication before its appearance in Promet – Traffic&Transportation.

Each author is expected to have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; or the creation of new software used in the work; or have drafted the work or substantively revised it; AND to have approved the submitted version (and any substantially modified version that involves the author's contribution to the study); AND to have agreed both to be personally accountable for the author's own contributions and to ensure that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work, even ones in which the author was not personally involved, are appropriately investigated, resolved, and the resolution documented in the literature.
