THE ORIGIN OF THE EC TRANSPORT MARKET AND THE THIRD-PARTY COUNTRIES

First of all the author analyses the economic ties between Austria, Switzerland and Yugoslavia with the EC. He has analysed today's transport problems of Austria mostly, as well as the deregulation of traffic in the EC after 1992. The author maintains that if and when Austria joins the EC Yugoslavia's comparative advantages will change. Yugoslavia's eventual admission into the EFTA group will not be successful unless Yugoslavia realizes its ideas of trade and economic reforms.
