UNRIGGING AND WRITE - OFF OF VESSELS
The issue of unrigging of vessels is very important although the ship - owner undertakes it. in an extremity. It is necessary to time the right moment of sending a ship for unrigging and prepare the vessel for a longer period of non - exploitation.
The same happens with the write - off of vessels because the ship - owner must choose the right timing and the location of sending the vessel to the breaker's yard.
It is needless to reiterate that these two segments of maritime market either directly or indirectly influence the overall trends in shipping industry and that our ship owners assign inadequate attention to these issues.
