POSSIBILITIES OF PIGGY - BACK TRANSPORT DEVELOPMENT IN YUGOSLAVIA
This paper deals with the up - to - date experience in the development of the piggy-back transport in Yugoslavia. Respective trends and outlooks for the development of piggy - back transport in Europe have been indicated as well as its reflections on the Yugoslav scene. Present operation potentials employing the most promising piggy - back transport technology of interchangeable containers have been presented here. The author recommends certain practical resolutions regarding the organization being indispensable for having this transport aspect develop successfully.
Particular emphasis has been placed on the issue of proliferation of containers and interchangeable containers to avoid the purchase of inadequate equipment.
