ANALYSIS OF THE CAUSES OF REROUTING OF TRAFFIC FLOWS FROM THE LJUBLJANA - RAZDRTO HIGHWAY
This paper deals with the methods and results of a field research of the Republic Self-Managing Community of Interest for Road Traffic of Slovenia (the poll and recording of traffic movements) completed in the year 1980 in the region of the Ljubljana-Razdrto highway.
The objective of this survey was to establish respective volumes and causes for rerouting of traffic flows from the highway to the parallel two-lane old road.

The parallel road is preferred by 24% of drivers. Approximately 16% of drivers use this road for one of the four reasons stated:
no toll payment requirement (5%), better traffic conditions (4.5%), local aspect of transportation (4%), and attractive landscape (3,5%).
