THE EC NAVAL POLICY AND THE POSITION OF YUGOSLAV SHIPPING

First of all the author takes a look at the situation of shipping tonnage in the EC countries and the possibilities and orders for ship-building. He does this in order to analyse the main direction of the naval policy in the EC countries. He goes on to analyse the treatment of Yugoslav shipping in the light of the EC naval policy, and the application of UN Codex. He concludes that the EC ensures in fact a monopoly on the world naval market for its shipping firms.
