INTERDEPENDENT ASPECTS OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TOURIST INDUSTRY

This paper deals with the macro-relation of traffic and tourist trade and highlights major aspects of interdependence and mutual conditioning. The author reiterates that the level of interdependence is more pronounced i.e. higher in road and air traffic than in other transport aspects. In conjunction with furnishing data on foreign and national travel the author discusses the influence of tourist trade on shaping of demand for transport services today and in the near future.
