FREIGHT DISTRIBUTION DEPOTS IN THE SERVICE OF PROVISION OF GOODS TO SUMMER RESORT AREAS

This paper deals with the explanation of the importance of freight distribution depots planned for construction in many parts of Yugoslavia with particular reference to their function in provision of goods for tourist regions at the seaside. Particular emphasis is assigned to the significance of provision of goods from Slavonija, Baranja and Vojvodina to tourist destinations and in this concern the absolute requirement of higher-quality transport routes from these regions to the seaside area. The prerequisite of successful and efficient operations and services these days refers to a compatible information system linking all depots of this type in Yugoslavia.
