AIR POLLUTION DUE TO MOTOR EMISSIONS AND ITS IMPACTS ON TOURIST INDUSTRY

This paper deals with motor traffic, i.e. motor exhaust emissions as being one of the major pollutants of air. The review covers major pollutants, harmful effects of air pollution on human health, agricultural field crops and plants in general, with particular reference to forests. The author pleads for a strict abiding to international commitments in this area, sooner use of unleaded gasoline and obligatory mounting of three-fold catalyst in motor vehicles.
