DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSIT TRAVEL TOWARDS BETTER EVALUATION OF THE GEOGRAPHICAL AND TRAFFIC LOCATION OF YUGOSLAVIA

The author discusses the development concept of transit travels and points to reported inferior expenditure in this segment of our tourist industry. The paper refers to the fact that approximately 90% transit tourist volumes enter Yugoslavia by road border crossings while as a result of inadequate transit facilities, catering etc. they spend little in the process of transit. The author pleads for urgent consideration of this problem and provides concrete suggestions for possible improvement.
