MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL OF INFORMATION RESOURCES FUNCTIONS
It is an established fact that the management and control of information systems originate from/rest on the fundamental principles of management and control, still making just some of the features related to the characteristics of information systems.
This paper has been focused on some more or less important issues related to the management and alternative control. The central point of research refers to the issue of centralized aspect as opposed to a decentralized one.
This issue has become evident in system management planning, allocation of information resources and support of different services levels. The paper presents a review of typical demand for information and specific problems encountered by the information center personnel.
It should be reiterated that the management and control of information resources can adopt the concept corresponding to the centralized control aspects.
